I'd love to pick up a few more of these. Have you considered Cocker backs that accept barrel fronts other than the Freak? I know I'd love one that took UL fronts.

-Not really an issue. The insert is firmly retained by the flat face where the barrel seats inside the body, and few Z bolts have a forward O-ring due to the "spring loaded" nature of the bolt mechanism.

Would it be possible to make an F1 back that uses the original barrel for the tip? Or VM back with autococker barrel tips?
-Both are possible as one-offs, certainly, but we're doing the current run on CNC. Drop me a line with some details and I'll see if I can work up a quote.

-I've been working on exactly that, with a working title of UltraFreak. I have some prototypes, but there's about three or four other part runs I have to get done before I can slip those in.

-Of course. Just keeping in mind that if I make it as a one-off, it'll cost a little more than the production stuff.

I'd be tempted in an Illustrator/Raptor back as well to round out my collection. Though standard tips preferably.

Maybe made Stirling compatible as well? I know they were close, can't remember what had to be done to mod one to the other. But it would be handy incase one of those wanders into my hoard.

While they're getting pretty rare the ICD backs are out there. Most folks don't know what they are though.

Kind of wondering about the market for angel LCD backs. They weren't that uncommon like a year ago (and cheap) and in general angel barrels seem to go for next to nothing.

Oh curious though Doc... you can do the freak tip female threading? If so might hit you up for a custom job in the near future... ya know out of a chunk of brass

Quick update: I wasn't happy with the shape, so I refined the angle just slightly...

And, they're up on eBay with 'free' shipping if you're interested!
