Two Kitchen Knives, 100% of sale donated to local cat rescue (SOLD, but pics included

I'm ordering up blades and materials to make two kitchen knives. 100% of the purchase will go as a donation to support a local Cat Rescue that we foster for. They get many animals that need medical care which comes at price. Currently we are fostering a wonderful cat that needed to have most of his teeth pulled bc of a rare conditition. They get many other cats that are wonderful cats that need various levels of medical care. Again, I'm donating time and materials and all money will go to the rescue.

If you have the time, look up Orange Street Cats...
https://www.orangestreetcats.org/
if you don't want anknife and would rather make a donation they would appreciate that no matter how small.

More info to follow soon. I should have the knives done in a couple weeks if people are looking for Christmas gifts.

Out of sheer curiosity, was it stomatitis?

(I may be in for a knife, depending on style.)

It is stomatitis. Absolutely wonderful cat. His owner passed away last year. Orange street took him in for a couple months. His brother was adopted and bc of his condition and care costs he's been deemed a permanent foster.

I'm looking at doing a 6" cooks knife and a Santoku. Both are 8A stainless steel. Looking at usingblack paper micarta with a 1/32" colored G10 spaced between the Micarta and tang. With brass cutlery rivets. Even if someone sticks one in the dishwasher by accident they should be nearly indestructible. I'm still trying to figure out a cost.

That's rough, he has our Duncan's sympathies. Had everything up to the canines, top and bottom, removed a few months back. Much happier now.

Definitely interested if there's a santoku. Would the edge have the tighter Japanese style angle?

Definitely interested in the Santoku. Do you by any chance have any pictures of previously done work?

Second link in my signature has some of the stuff I've put together...

I have no idea on the edge. I buy a finished blade and basically put a handle on it while trying to make it look nice and not cut my fingers off.

I'll take one to support the rescue. Prefer no bright colors. Let me know when they are ready.

I would take one if either of the other two posters don't. Let me know if it works out, thanks

If you're still doing this, I'd at the least be interested. In for updates.
