New Montneel bumpers! Really!

Continuing my quest to recreate the most obscure parts for the most obsolete markers possible... I now have new bolt bumpers for the Montneel guns! (And of course whatever clones use them too.)

Actually, there's a legit reason for these: A few years back when I was starting to produce my own Spyder/Intimidator ball detents (which I had to do in order to keep my Automag barrel adapter supplied) an MCB regular asked if I could also mold some replacement bumpers for the Montneel guns.

I was pretty sure I could, but given my ADD/ADHD and occasional caffeine withdrawal, I forgot about it.

This past summer, however, I dug my old Mega-Z out to toy with some other ideas I had, and in airing it up for the first time in at least fifteen years, found out it leaked from pretty much everywhere.

Starting to take it apart, I was reminded about the bumper up in the sight rail:

Mine didn't seem to be in too bad a shape.... 'til I tried to remove it.

But, not necessarily needing the marker right away, I set it aside until just recently, until I got a firmer castable urethane in order to do a seal for the Equalizer. (Mega-Zs and Equalizers? Fortune 500 here I come! )

Well, making a few measurements of the leftover parts of mine, making a new mold was simple and quick, so I cast up a few replacements:

They fit into place... actually, better than stock, and should give you years more life out of those clunky old relics awesome vintage markers!

I have not quite two dozen on hand, and can make more at any time. I'm asking $5 each individually, or $4 each if you order more than four at a time.* I can send them in a First Class padded envelope, so call it $8.95 for a single (+$5 for each additional up to three, total) or $19.95 for four (+$4 for each additional, up to however many you want.)

My PayPal address is ordering@docsmachine.com and yes, I can mail outside the US as well. Email for details or questions to doc@docsmachine.com

Thanks!
Doc.

(* 'Cause I know that most anyone that has A Montneel gun, typically has at least five or six. )

I've wanted a mega z for a while now. Seems any for sale are leaky sieves.

Can their valves be rebuilt using common oring sizes , or are the montneel valves another candidate for obscure, awesome , resurrected parts?

I have to admit I'm not exactly sure anymore. It's been at least '02/'03 since the last Z/Z-1 crossed my workbench, and I haven't had to have this one apart since like '98. (The leak, it turns out, was the side tube nut was loose for some reason.)

If it does need an oddball seal, well, it's easier than ever to find odd-size O-rings off the shelf. And if there's a unique-to-these-guns seal in there, I can make replacements.
