Geo CS1

I don't know if you'd call it an announcement, or a teaser. :P

It's been "said" that:
- the rubbers grips may be subject to redesign.
- small gain in efficiency compared to 3.5.
- smoothness comparable to Luxe/Vanquish.
- 400.000+ shots out of 2x AA.

Where did you hear the grips may be redesigned? I heard the leaked/early pics didn't have the up to date grips with full textures on them, but the real pics all have the final product with the fine grip texture added.

The marker has incredible features and stats, and is apparently one of the most ergonomic to date, but I still think it just looks a little ugly. I'm all for function over form, but I want BOTH on my $1500 commodity.

My teammate has his ordered through the shop already. I'm afraid to try it because I know I'll probably end up buying it.

I thought the same thing about my 3.5 but the comfort was far worth the rubber grips and ergos.

I kinda think it is funny that most people are interested in the M2 over the CS1. PE made updates, Dye added features and call it "reinvented".

Yes, I stand corrected. The thing about the grips was a comment Jack made on a leaked early picture that had different ones.

Agreed. But to be honest - heck, I'm not buying any paintball marker at that price, ugly or not. The missus would murder me in my sleep. :P I'm shooting a used Geo 2. And loving it.

Are they? I feel like there's a good amount of excitement for both. The m2 seems to have a lot of nice changes to the matrix platform, and now both have silly long battery life.

I'm not sure which one I'd pick given the choice. Hm.

Most of what I hear people talking about is the M2, I haven't heard much about the CS1. The M2 even has the same drive as the DM14/15, it is just the BW bolt.

Yes and no.. The BWing bolt is now stock BUT it is not the same bolt as the 14/15 this is a completely new 2 piece bolt with better air paths/easier manufacturing
