Maybe, but probably not, I'm not that lucky. Some quick research, before I got distracted by porn, claims that some "pre-release" models did have standard Impulse/Ion threads (2002 thread on PBN). I've also found claims that serial numbers started at 1 and 1000, and that "pre-release" models ended at 1500, but I have no idea how accurate any of that is. It also appears that some early bodies have sight rails cut into them.

This early Impulse on Vintage Rex shows a similar setup with no left detent and sliding style power switch. It looks like all of the early Impulses in Ravi's review from 2000 show no left detent either (but it's kind of hard to tell due to the low resolution) with sliding style power switch (mentioned in the review).
