I love my Etha 2, it just works.

I do recommend the magnet trigger mod from the eBay guy, makes the trigger feel much less mushy. I haven't shimmed mine because side-to-side play doesn't really bother me, but I know a lot of people who do that and like the feel.

I put a Lapco FUSE on mine because it's my favorite barrel and I had extra fronts/backs, but the stock barrel shot just fine.

After servicing tons of Axes and Minis in the relatively short time I've been playing paintball, the constant poppet seal and solenoid problems prevent me from recommending them. I'd go with a PE marker every time. Good choice.

Yeah I was watching videos of people literally throwing the Etha across parking lots then picking it up and shooting it. Thing seems bullet proof.

If you're going to upgrade the barrel, pick up a Shaft FR back. Takes freak inserts and uses the stock tip. I run one on my CS1.

Same with the FUSE, it's nice to have the matching tip.

I got the axe 2.0. It just felt right, but as I’ve been collecting gear to go again soon, I’m starting to think I should jump on the PE train and get an etha 2. I’m lazy at cleaning gear and I’m reading the gamma is amazing at dealing with that. Too bad the resale value on axes blows balls otherwise I’d sell mine for an etha 2

Yup. The Axe has become the current generation's Ion.

I mean the only air that went through it was testing at the shop before I went home, still technically bnib. New it’s like what $400 probably can’t get more than $250 for it :/

Even that much you'd be hard-pressed, they just don't have strong resale value.

I've been seeing earlier generations and Minis go for $100ish, I'm sure that's not helping the resale on the newer ones.
