Did the minion come in red?

If no, What colors did it come in?

I think I've seen a picture of a red one somewhere.

I tried google. But my google-fu is weak.

Also, what’s the connection between the minion and the PM series?

Only colors I've seen are black, blue, and red.

The Minion is a PM, just with different milling. 2006 Minion is a PM6, 2007 Minion is a PM7.

Literally just released under different company names? Isn’t PM a lower end Dye marker?

"Lower end." They really weren't that different. Different barrels, different ASAs, and only the PM8 had the UL frame. LPR was up front instead of in the back like the DM.

I meant lower end compared to the DM line. Not sure if that’s what you mean too. Also, now I’m off topic, but did Reflex turn into the pm?

They were marketed as lower end, and were something like $500 cheaper. But performance wise, they really were the same.

The Proto Matrix Rail (PMR) came out in 07, SLG came out in 08. The Proto Rail proper was discontinued after the PM8, and the PMR and SLG replaced them. The SLG wasa steaming pile of garbage and the Rail was further dilluted to replace it in '11. The Reflex Rail was essentially the original Rail, updated, and renamed.

...So, yeah more or less.

IMO, it would have made more sense to keep the Rail as the $400 version and use the Reflex Rail as the cheaper, $250 version that replaced the SLG. I think it would have made much more sense from a marketing perspective.

Yes. But we’re talking about a company that releases the same marker every year since basically 2004 at a higher price. Haha.

Thanks for the info.

Any idea how Evil ended up with the same design as Dye?
