The trouble I'm having now is bulking up without getting too fat. I lost the weight I wanted to lose now I'm just trying to keep busting those PRs and start growing.

Needed a weight loss contest a year or two ago, heh. Down to 180 lbs from 275 over the last couple years. Would like to finish the last couple pesky pounds on the tummy. Beyond that, just trying to be fitter and keep working on cardio. Will be running this year for pretty much the first time in my adult life. Aiming to do a tough mudder in the fall.

This only really coincides with New Years. We just booked a trip to Bermuda to go see the americas cup sailing race and I need to get my fat *** back into shape.

Anyone else planning on trying the same? Get into shape that is?

I'll try and record my progress again to keep me honest.

Maybe a six month contest is in order here. Anyone else in?
I have been putting this off.

yes.

Accountability and progress thread inbound.

I actually *quit* working out roughly 3 months ago. Time to get back.

Oh, also:

I want to actually progress on my squat and OHP. I always did well with leg based stuff, but was chronically injuring my left shoulder, and so I never really got anywhere other than looking like anJurrasic Park extra.

I recently found the root issue (massive range of motion difference) and addressed it (it really hurt too!) so now I'm looking to set some PRs.

Also, my old rule still applies: No curls. Ever.

I crossed into the big 180.
I'm disgusted with myself.
I'm also insanely unmotivated and unfortunately, I'll just hate myself instead of excising.
Been there, tried that.

Maybe next year.. maybe when I hit 200...

My intentions were to earn the Boston Marathon medal this year by doing the Tough Ruck 26.2 mile ruck march with some of my brothers.

I wasn't able to make it happen this year due to a combination of scheduling and finance hurdles, but the goal is still to do it with them, but from here at the same time. Really it's just a symbolic thing at this point but I like to stick to my goals.

That means continuing to train as if I were doing it in Concord, and then continuing to train and improve so next year it will be just be a matter of getting there and doing it like I intended to this year.

Hopefully I can lose 20lb along the way to April too. That would be swell.
