Also, your auto Tacoma does better mpg than the stick. The final gear ratio is better and cruises at lower rpm. (owned Tacoma my whole life)
I'm in the same boat. I commute 60 miles a day, most of it is stop and go, and I still drive stick. Learning to drive and taking the test was all with manual.

My WRX is less then 3 months old and is about to roll 3000 miles. Not once have I said "I wish I bought an auto".

The Tacoma was on my short list of manual cars, but it has very limited options in a manual.

It was hard to find a Golf(non GTI trim) in stick. I actually found a well optioned one, heated seats, sunroof, in dash CD changer, 2 door, in stick. Just a 2.5.

I have an 86 Golf(auto) sitting out back, not sure if its going to be a resto or ?

I have hard time beleive one would quite driving if an injury prevented the use of a clutch.

As for the DSGs I know how they work I am 32 and been working on transport trucks since I was 17. Licensed mechanic. Since 2006. But I consider those a completely different beast. There not really autos per say.

Love how those 2.5 sound with a nice exhaust. Reminds me of the VR motors (which makes sense)

Or the old Audi inline 5's. If you like vdubs those are the ultimate fun cars to build. Those engines are insanely stout. I had a coupe quattro back in the day that was fun.

The turbo swaps in the Audi 90's and even the old 200's and ur s4/6's are amazing cars.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
tlane77 He's got a woody for your woods.
