Ingest something or just detonation, either way from the pic angles you may have gotten lucky and not scored the walls. Hopefully a quick clean up of the cylinders, new pistons plus balancing and you'll be good to go.

Stock bottom end vortech? How'd you shatter the tops of two pistons without spray or FI? You must have been running some crazy ignition timing. At 12.43 I assume it was NA unless it was in a big truck.

I wish I still had the pics of my oil pan from my Shatner Ball 3 trip, there was a nice round hole where something went through plus a big tear from rail to rail where a rod followed.

So for a little more background, this was a first gen Vortec block I’d purchased used last year for my gbody Malibu. Having a mostly finished new motor for my friends and o have been doing all sorts of stuff to it in the recent time. This was a 150 shot that finally blew her up. The 125 shot on it prior actually managed an 11.28.

Curious why the pistons have 4 valve recesses.
