Sweet I was gunna build a Baja Miata but I have developed engin knock so donít want to put 5-700 for the lift and suspension into it haha did pick up son coilovers for cheap tho so ima just slam it and call it good

Being a RWD vehicle makes pulling the engine much easier in general. Most places you get a used motor from are going to give you a long block type situation where you take your working parts and put back on to make it run. Sometimes you get the whole basically ready to put in engine.

In this situation I wouldn't particularly recommend the "stronger" engine unless you have a plan to upgrade everything along that path.

The knock you are describing is probably a rod knocking. If you are lucky you may have just washed out a journal on the crank. You can pull the oil pan and check that, sometimes in car. I wouldn't go so far to say as it would be fully dependable that way, but a cheap way to possibly get a few more miles out of this engine while you hunt or decide on upgrade path.

Great I do thanks hopefully Iíll find a video showing how to do it and what to look for.
As far as the Upgraded engine I had planned or replacing everything from motor back so transmission drive shaft diff ect to the 1.8. Set up
