i'm streaming the current episodes through netflix and i can't believe how difficult it is to sit through an entire episode.
i can't believe how bad this show has gotten. i keep saying "so bad" over and over in my head.
there was a time when i watched all my shows on DVD so when a crappy part was on i would fast forward (while still reading the subtitles).
i would still be fast forwarding...
just sayin' over and over again "So Bad!"

I've abandoned the show as well... Both versions.... Best thing to happen was Negan and they half assed that too.

I remember the exact moment I stopped:
The scene with the rocket launcher. I had hated the last few seasons, but that was the final straw. I have not seen any episodes since then.
Plus, they have a habit of killing off any likable characters. All that is left are miserable. The common opinion is its the comics fault. But I don't buy that. I think the TV writers wrote themselves into a corner, and have been struggling for a long time.
Here is the moment where I gave up:

The biggest problem with TWD is that they've stretched it on for too long. Just finish telling the damn story already.
Apparently so does Ted Cruz.

Uses the Force
I'm sticking it out.
The show definitely feels like it's in its twilight season(s) for sure, and the genre has certainly cooled off as they always do. The ratio of Meh episodes to decent episodes has definitely increased. But, I want to finish it, and still look forward to it coming back this season. I'd like to see at least one cross-over point with characters from FTWD, even if minor. I hope it finishes strong, and doesn't pull a weirdo "Lost" type ending or some lame explanation like Rick wakes up in the hospital, and we discover the whole series was just some crazy post-surgery morphine dream after getting shot in episode 1.
