Radio got a little less funny today

Stuart McLean, CBC Radio host and award-winning humorist, dead at 68

Vinyl Cafe was great to hear on the radio on a trip.

I was shocked when I heard this evening. I did not know he was ill. What a shame. I only discovered him about 5 years ago, wish I had found him sooner.

Merry Christmas to all storytellers.

Just remembering Stuart McLean today again. This is the first year that we will be without his traveling Christmas show and a piece of the season is missing without his voice. Heading over to the CD player to put on one of the stories. I urge you to discover his work if you haven't. They are the best soundtracks of life and no family road trip would be complete without a Stuart McLean story on the radio.

As a lucky survivor and a person who has seen the loss ( mother and uncle) first hand Mar I second your statement f**k cancer. First Christmas without my mom and I'm just not in the holiday mood haven't even been able to bring myself to put up a tree. All my son's know what's up and their trying along with my wife but thankfully they are leaving me to wrestle with my own sadness. My condolences to the family isn't enough but it's all I have.
