what type of wood is it by the way. if oak cherry or any other type wood people would use to smoke food. i would age it for that and use to make food with it. also depends how long tree is and how badly damage tree is too. since have to find someone in area that will cut wood down to what you need.

Free firewood is the best firewood. Oak is nice too. But I also burn quite a bit. Nothing like keeping my heating bill under 150 in the dead of winter.

I am disappointed in us mcb. the obvious answer should have been suggested much earlier than this.

Make a pirate stock out of it. or a fleet of pirate stocks.

and a matching peg leg, just in case the unthinkable happens--loosing a leg to an infected musket ball wound or a kraken.

In the world I see - you are stalking elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rockefeller Center. You'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life. You'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Tower. And when you look down, you'll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying strips of venison on the empty car pool lane of some abandoned superhighway.

How bad do you despise this tree?

carve it into a tree,
Smash the tree,
burn the kindling.

Thing is I really like the tree, or what is left of it. I just need to assert dominance like when the dog pees in the house. Turns out the tree is pin oak. I am currently leaning towards a marker stand but I am tempted by a few other ideas here.
