I'm stone broke but I haven't, but second going green.
Aside from that, The High Road is the most MCB-like firearms forum out there.

I've been on a LOT of firearms forums. ARFCOM is the PBN of real steel. There's usually a state based forum for guns and here in GA it's the ODT (few MCB people there as well). We have a nice thread in the members section as well.

Go to the control panel, bottom left is Paid Subscriptions. $15 a year and well worth it. You'll typically make that back in your first purchase as a lot of members give discounts to other green members.

Have you tried NJgunforums.com .?

I have not read the forum, just found it in a Google search as those of us that do not live in a Free State have issues that people from America find illogical, unbelievable and stoopid.
Being a member of a local group can help with legality issues, availability and local laws.

Of course forums like AR15.com are very knowledgeable about the gun in general and have an active BST.

Im on NYGunforum.com as well as NYFirearms.com

Contrary to the popular song, it IS easy to be green.

I'm over at Brian Enos's forums pretty frequently. They're generally geared toward competitive shooting but do have sub-forums for everything.

Brian Enos forum. 1911 forum. There's a lot of bad out there too, though.
