Looking great. Hoping to put up a pole barn at my next move.
Wish I lived closer to help. I love doing this kind of work.

Cold rainy morning but no snow.... cleared up as the day went by...

Well, I got the bracers up and started pushing the poles around to center lines but the stakes for the braces did not arrive nor the sizzerlift...

If I get them tommorrow I can finish lining up posts and be ready for the girts...

Have to call in the morning to see if I can get the rest of the wood tommorrow...

Starting to look very big from where I'm standing and taller then I thought...
You can I never build a shop to big I was always told...

Hohoho.....

Double FYI for paintball rules there should be no "offer" of surrender, its either mandatory surrender at X distance when guy is behind you or no surrender and you get shot in the booty. "offer" of surrender makes for some ridiculous and dangerous john woo tactics.

I have a buddy that is my equipment driver but I am the labor boy as he can't physically do much...

And I am a big man. Almost 5'8" tall weighing a whooping 140 lbs... Plus im a young fellow also at 62 ( almost my birthday again)...

So I am not alone.... almost.... haha
...but I do have help...

I do not have my electrical figured out yet eighter.. I figured I'd build first and wire second....
And yea, I could use help with that....

No picture today as it looks the same as yesterday's...
Had to go pick up the metal stakes this morning and go down to the lumber yard and get my delivery of wood set up for Wednesday.
I did lock in the corner posts (cemented those in.. five and a half eighty pound sacks
each hole ).... ( and I did measure the diagonal to make sure I'm square with the world)..
Aligned and centered the front posts also ( had to do some hole enlargement side to side and some front to back...
that was fun going four feet plus deep with a hand digger...
Never realized how tough it is moving 6x8s at 20' long by hand once they are in the hole three and third feet deep...
Wore out now and it's dark, having some hot tea... was freezing most of the day but clear...
Just glad the snow is holding off as my trusses won't be here for three or four weeks..

Tomorrow's a new day...... going to try and finish the alignment.....

It's pretty rare that you get to see a new wonder of the world while it's still being constructed.

I don't post yesterday as I was still digging out holes and doing alignment...

Well I completed that today about 10:00 am....

Holy cow that was a job...

Started filling the holes with concrete... between 4-5 80lb. bags of premix for each hole.... ugh.....

Used up 82 bags today, made it to the lumber yard just before closing time and picked up another pallet (42 bags).. will be just enough to finish holes....

I figure it out to be 10,080 lbs of concrete total... my back...my back....

Here it is all aligned and all but 10 posts cemented in....

Tommorrow is finish concrete day and starting of the girts...

Tried to take a picture of the hole size but was to dark at bottom of hole to see much..
