It's 15F in Boston today and it feels like pleasant spring weather after spending the holidays in NH where the mean temp was around -7F.

My West Coast friends are pretty sure we're all going to die this Winter

I'm glad I filled my oil tank last week.

A few of my friends have told me that have called every oil company for a 30 mile radius that everyone is completely out of oil (K2) and not expecting another shipment until next week.

nobody expected the cold to last this long... and still going.

My furnace will burn any type of diesel (off road, on road, etc), along with kerosene. besides standard #2 heating oil. So I'm not worried, but this has the potential to be a small emergency

This is a big issue in Southern New England as well. I got an automatic delivery last Thursday and consider myself very fortunate, but I have neighbors who are running on fumes and have been running unit heaters and such to keep their pipes from freezing. Everybody should have a wood stove if you live above the Mason-Dixie line lol
