Man I wish. When I renovated I should have plopped a big old woodstove in... I am not sure what the difference would look like with insurance though... Imagine if my gas shut off though? what would I do? I guess sleep in the workshop and feed the fire all night...

Wood stove installations don't have to be that tricky. If you don't mind a basic steel chimney and exhaust piping you pretty much just need a few bricks and a hole in your wall. My pops and I did an install in my old *** house and it was much easier to do than I had anticipated. Now if I could just teach my wife how to properly cut firewood...
