Never done it, don't really plan on it. I still have plenty of time to find her.

I put the confetti in her car, and purse the night before (she will find the pieces for days, some even months later, so it is great for extended points), and then when we awoke for work that morning, I said "surprise!" and rained down a few handfuls on top of her. Worked great, but I need new material. What do you have?
could surpise her with gift card to spa and salon place that also does messages. you can get group message so both get taken care off then take her out for meal. she will like being pampered

I get my wife the same thing every year. Nothing.

We don’t bother with the stupid greeting card holidays. We actually don’t even get each other birthday cards or anniversary cards anymore. We stopped the madness about 5 years or so ago and it’s perfect.

Cannot for the life of me guess what "hives ice" is... If is somehow your "five wives" then I have to say kudos Brian!

Plus, it seems like a trap! Mine has said "no gifts this year", but I've always come up with some lame effort that seems to please her. Christmas was a plush bathrobe...

I was thinking the same. Every "no gifts" I have known was a trap. Admiral Akbar (God rest his soul) yells it in my mind. Oooo, maybe calamari this year....

It really isn't a trap for us. The exchanging of cards is one of the stupidest things ever. Also buying flowers is ridiculously overpriced and expensive.
