some quality costumes in this thread. The flaming heart is sick!
My contribution. Traded trick or treat for raid and pillage.

Made everything but the mjolnir, belt and trousers. For the Skeggox I took a grinder to a rusty hatchet head and re-hafted it with a California framing handle. Sewed the tunic from an old table cloth. Made the helmet out of an Anti fatigue mat.

We got a super deluge right at 6:30-700, so the numbers of trick or treaters was pretty low here, as well. Oh well, such is life.

2020 will be on a weekend, so I'll plan for that one to be BIG

As for us 4.5 hours northeast of you in Plano, it is coming down in buckets here. I wonder if there are even going to be folks wandering the neighborhood tonight. Then again this will be the first Halloween for us at this place.

we had friends over with their kids and did 3 of the 5 cul-de-sacs of my neighborhood and the kids had overflowing buckets / dragging pillow cases at that point and at their choice went back to my place to spend the next hour or so sorting and trading candy . . . it was a grand night!

and today at work I won 2nd place in the chili contest (3rd year in a row on the podium) with my duck chili. It has been a good (tiring) day!

No fresh ideas or extra spare time this year.
Probably just reusing the Fallout costume. I'll probably weather the jumpsuit a bit.
If I had my workshop, I'd make a working Fat Man.
HurtCow:Sure, plastic is pretty innocuous. Beef maxi-pads won't hurt you.

I'm probably going as a dashingly handsome dad, but I'm making a Minecraft Enderman costume for my son. It will have light up purple LED eyes and should look pretty sweet when I'm done.
"He is strong! If I die, I have to go before him, and he will ask me, "What is the riddle of the Automag?" If I don't know it, he will cast me out of Valhalla and laugh at me. That's Tom Kaye, strong on his mountain!"

A loser. It's pretty simple, as it doesn't require me to do anything special.

Funny I was thinking of going as an axe murderer since I'm already in disguise and dressed like everyone else.
