Hellephant Crate Engine

So Mopar just announced the 426 Hellephant crate engine at the Sema show yesterday, 1000hp 950lb-ft torque.

What would you build with this engine?

I would Start with a 1964 D100 Swept Line pick-up. Custom Sport Special tribute truck.
Fully independent suspension, full time 4 wheel drive.
I'd want to do build it for track runs, Mosport, Laguna Seca, Watkins Glen.......
Still needs to be street legal got to hit the cruise nights.

Oh to dream!

Is it a 426? I read that it was a 4.0. I'm always a fan of small displacement V8's.

A leaf blower so powerful it would deflect paintballs and return them to sender at 300 fps

Putting a V8 in a FWD car and converting it to RWD doesn't require a new chassis... it requires a welder and ingenuity. It's been done a million times without borrowing the parent chassis, just can't expect everything to bolt right in. Look at the LS Prius builds.

Anyways, I would revive the USS Matador with such a crate engine. Maroon AMC Matador. It is always the focus of anything Dodge build-wise in my mind, a compound boost destroked 6.7L Cummings would also be awesome.
