Thankskilling.

Turkey from the first thanksgiving comes back to life and murders people. It advertises on the DVD case "Boobs in the first second" and made on a $3500 budget. Instant classic.

+1 for Kung Fu Hustle, absolutely fantastic film.

I like vaguely horror type films, if you dig that you should check out Eraserhead, A Scanner Darkly, Jacob's Ladder, Pan's Labyrinth, Battle Royale, and Yellowbrick Road.

I love weird films.

Mystery Space Theater 3000 aka MST3K, either the 90's/early 2000's series, or the new season. Get the combo of old, crappy, weird movies that are dubbed over with some pretty hilarious commentary. A lot of the older movies mentioned have been dubbed by MST3K...Plan 9, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Beast Master, etc.

"Brazil" was my first thought.

A Netflix original I really enjoyed was "The Veil". It's kinda a weird fantasy that's clearly more about mood than story but made for a good watch on a dark plane.

I love weird films.

Eraserhead was my first venture into the land of bizarre filmmaking (one that I did on purpose). Most of my childhood was spent watching movies my dad sat me down in front of with no regard to my poor pee brain. By the time I was 8 I had already seen most Mel Brooks films, owned all the James Bond movies, Die Hards, lethal weapons, and good Star Wars. Not to mention Monty pythons holy grail, and caveman. Along with a few other noteworthy comedies. Hey Vern, and easy riders come to mind.

Combine that with a childhood lacking in Internet and I was basically left with yard sale VHS finds and other crap my older cousins left lying around.

I've basically hit the point where the internets list of bizarre movies are already boring; so I went to the weirdest place I could think of to get new ideas. You guys rock.

So far Ice pirates, Swiss army man, and the one with "guns good penis bad" are next on the watch list.

Also, I have to give a positive recommendation for "Forbidden Zone". It's a 1980 movie with Danny Elfman and a few other stars. It's on YouTube, watch the black and white version.

The movie Lo. If I remember correctly, it was filmed all in one room.

Have we hit "A Boy and His Dog"?

Post apocalyptic, telepathic dog story.
