The only thing I have considered for myself is to start small, maybe a 4 day cruise. River cruises are a thing, but they vary a lot and are different from ocean cruises in their pace. I like the idea of being able to grab my wallet, passport, and a seat cushion and bail out of the whole thing in the worst case.

Try to figure out where her aversion comes from. Some people are simply afraid of the ocean. The giant ships help with that. Some cruises are more of a floating party than others; the travel agent can help with that.

If she is an adult-sized Disney kid, those cruises are supposed to be good. Obviously not for the kid-averse types.

shes a 34 year old whos afraid that she wont see land and everything that could possibly go wrong, would. I was the same way until i went on a cruise. I actually went a few times now and doesnt bother me. I feel like i just want to book it and tell her that i cant cancel it. I think she gets her fears from her mother. her mother is deathly afraid of water and boats.
