My GMail accounts never seem to get spam, despite having them publicly listed in a number of places, including the contacts for my domain. My university account, on the other hand, got upwards of 50 spam emails a day. The lesson? Get a spam filter.

I use godaddy as well.

I think that I'm just well protected by good spam filters - I have gmail and a few other accounts through friends - also well protected.
