So I looked up the patent number (5,497,759) on the side of the gun, and it doesn't match ICD at all.

Is there some inside joke from 15+ years ago I'm not privy to?

Actually, looks like a typo.

A handy list of old paintball patents...
Patently Absurd

...shows the ICD patent to actually be patent number 5,497,758 (one number different).

I'm surprised they didn't catch that. Even Alley Cat has the one digit off number, and it's one of the last variations they made.

I really do regret having gotten rid of my Alleycat. It was such a fun little gun. I wish they would re-release the cat series in a centerfeed.

That power feed is mostly removable (with heat). You might be able to design a printed feed neck that would be acceptable. For sure you could do it as a left offset. Getting to the top screw needs a through hole or an extra part.

I'm going to try and make a little pistol/PDW out of this one.

So far I opened up the port on the bottom ASA block, and opened up the face on a junk bin 12 gram adapter so the gas would flow better.

Also received my .685 ICD barrel from CP. Not sure I want to cut it down to pistol length because it's super nice.

I'll see if my buddy will let me chop the old .689 barrel for the pistol build.

Either that or see if Bacci has a decent used barrel.
