Got to the field this past weekend. I tried my SHP reg after rearranging the inner rings - no shims were there when I got it. They must have been removed previously. I took some shots over the chrono and still shooting hot with velocity turned all the way back. I did try the regular ninja reg, and perfect shooting (had been low before with the same tank), but now all the shots were 270-280. Wow. Just need to see if that tank has any other effects on my other markers.

hammer 7 low velocity fps issues
To correct the low velocity issues, I shortened the 'power tube valve spring'. Which is found in the power tube assembly, see your manual. From the base of the spring (the large end), I removed 1.25 loop (450 degrees). This brought my velocity up from 220 using paintballs to 280. Using first strikes it went from 250 up to 330. The factory power tube spring is to strong and doesn't allow enough pressure to be released when the hammer bolt hits the power tube.
I had no issues between my 3 different air tanks (no regulator issues) and my cup seal was fine.
