Spyder imagine e trigger not cycling bolt

For some reason the clapernoid or solenoid won't trip the sear when the bolt is cocked back. As shown in the video it clicks and trips the sear perfectly fine when the bolt is not cocked back but when it is cocked the added tension of the bolt on the sear I assume is to strong for the clapper to hit it and trip the sear to fire the marker. Don't know if that made sense but its what looks like the issue

I would imagine either you need a stronger, fresher name brand 9v or your electrolytic capacitor is going bad.

tried a new battery both a 9v and a 9.6v one and still nothing. how can i replace the elctrolytic capacitor, i have a spare one from another spyder frame i could use. ( i would just slap that one on but the previous owner mangled it so its useless).

That would depend on the cap itself, I have found they tend to go bad from age as it is anyhoo.

I use digikey.com and mouser.com to source most of my electronic parts. For the most part you need to find the cap information, this is typically printed on the side of the cap itself and looks something like "60uF 25V" on the side and you can try and find one with the same length and width of your current one.

If you need help finding one, take a picture of your cap and post it along with length + width in cm/mm. I might even have one sitting around.

Mind you these caps are polarized so they can only be placed in one direction.

As posted in your other thread:

That is what you are after to replace the cap.
