I'll keep my eyes open for a wintec frame, gunna pick up that DW barrel probably next pay period..can't wait for tomorrow..finally took it all apart, cleaned the bolt but didnt change the oring since it seals without a problem and I shot a few paint in the backyard and it seems to not have any problems.

Couldn't chrono it so no idea if its shooting too hot (seems like it is but I'll find out tomorrow)

Thanks for all your help guys!

Also, the pump handle...stick with the OG? can only support its OG handle? Any mods to it?

Nah you could swap it out for any dual arm pump handle for nelsons.

For a long time I considered just dropping an old Trracer frame on there, I haven't heard similar horror stories with the plastic grip frames on those. A Phantom frame is also a great idea. Maybe if I find the time I'll measure the hole-to-hole radius and try to catalog the frames that fit/can be fit to a Hammer P. They're too good to be on the sidelines because of that cheapo grip frame.

Phantom frames do not have the correct hole spacing. Nelspot frames do, though.

Before I put the slide on my Hammer I used to run a Taso pump handle... Worked great but you'll need to either shim it inside or run a 1" OD barrel or it'll be very sloppy and wobblyName: IMG_20170308_165236733.jpeg

*DAMN* that is clean looking. Love the grip, which one is that?

Played with it finally today! IT SHOT AMAZING! very loud but to be expected lol, and I was using older paint so it wasnt exactly preforming 100% but I loved the thing.

the pump stroke was as expected since it was old and not really taken care of, really crunchy and tight sometimes...I think I just need to replace the spring and then ill be good to go.

Tempted to get a bottom ASA but I think it was just because I am not used to using a Back asa.

So next on the menu is
1) DW Barrel for inserts/quieter shot
2) New Pump handle
3) new pump spring for smoother pump stroke?

If the internals are dirty or otherwise not in good shape, definitely fix that. They're brass, and would be easy to polish. That would do quite a bit on its own. Respringing it might not be a bad idea, though. Assuming you're running compressed air and not CO2, a blue madman spring provides a pretty good stroke for nelsons.

Yeah, the stock barrels are super loud, I have the solid 10? 11? inch brass barrel on mine with no porting and no cuts in the end. With a CP or any decently ported freak barrel of your choice they quiet down nicely.

It's more important to keep the brass internals clean than with steel internals, in my experience. If there's grime on this inside, your consistency will suffer because the brass striker can be slowed down pretty drastically. But they are significantly more efficient than your standard internals, I used to get 40-45 shots per 12 gram in mine with stock springs.

This being my first brass gun, can i use brass polisher on all the parts? Should I use any of my planet eclipse grease or Dye grease anywhere?

My velocity was ranging from 240 all the way up to 300, I was trying to tune it but nothing seemed to work, I thought turning it counter clockwise decreased velocity but I saw no change
