Hammer (P)

Hey guys, some of you have seen me post in the pump section but figured I'd make my presence known here since I'll have a few questions as time goes on with my latest pick up.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS THING! Currently just testing it out at home, did not replace any o rings (dunno when or if they ever were) but everything seals up, don't hear any leaks and even though I have not received my feedneck yet for it, loading in a single paintball and firing it off seemed to go without a hitch.

some questions:

Best barrel? It has what it looks like its OG short barrel, it works and I love the size of it but I figured a lot of people use Freak kits to bore down to prevent rollouts. I have a freak kit thats AC threaded so would just getting a spyder adapter work? or would it be better to just get a spyder threaded back?

Detents? I can pump pretty properly and I really REALLY don't want to drill into this body. Do people use a little nail polish still? I never did but always heard of that.

a Manual for this thing? I have only done a minimal search for this so maybe I just overlooked it.

Thanks guys! Always wanted a Hammer (7 tho lol) and I ended up selling things at a pawn shop and saw this guy sitting there..picked it up for 25!

Man, nice pickup

Get a Spyder freak back. Doing an adapter on a pump can cause issues because your are loading the ball into the adapter rather than the barrel itself

Here is manual

Thanks man! Can the spyder freak back work with the freak kit I already have as far as the barrel tip?

edit: I'm at work but it said that link was not secure and wouldn't load for me. Wonder if its just my work comp, will try at home

yes, any freak back will work with any freak front, that's its biggest strength.

If your want a really cool barrel grab this guy

https://www.amazon.com/Deadlywind-Fi...63L&ref=plSrch

It's a carbon fiber barrel that uses the freak inserts you already have.

You have never seen those? Gosh I have owned mine for about 10 years now.

They changed them a little about 5 years ago, now the threading is interchangable so you can get different backs for the same barrel. Pretty good cost saver for someone like yourself who has Spyder and cocker threaded markers

It's a great barrel, last I checked it was still the lightest weight standard length barrel on the market. It feels like playing without a barrel on your marker

Pro tip on these though, get either the 12 or 14 inch barrel. They will fit in the hard sided freak case (the one that is roughly oval shaped) the 16 is too long. And you have enough room for a full load of inserts

Oh Ive known of deadly wind barrels for awhile, they just usually are always out of my price range.

my inserts are the standard size, which Im digging still, my friend swears up and down that the XL is the way to go but I never have seen that big of a difference
