Joining the Spyder ranks again.

Haven't used a Spyder in a long time. All the threads being posted on here got me wanting one again... So I got not one but two. I'll take more pics when they arrive, but here's the eBay listings.

Single trigger TL with a bunch of stuff. The more notable items are the Spectra mask, Revvy hopper and Dye barrel. Thought it was a good price.

Yeah, yeah, it's a Victor & I probably overpaid for it. But I loved the color scheme and I like the internal cocking windows like on the Imagines. Comes with a plastic bolt, twist-lock feedneck, metal frame from a Shutter, front block and a long LPC. Not sure what barrel that is though. Going to toss my 12" Night Stick on it 'cause those barrels shoot way better than their price may indicate.

Gonna have some good ol' blowback fun this year.

Welcome back to Spyder land!

I had that first one on my watch list. Guess I don't have to put an offer on it anymore!

if it were me, id put the front block from the victor on whatever marker i was going to use more to make adding a reg a bit easier. Much love for the single triggers; i never did like the double trigger...

that victor is set up nice though. solid worthwhile mods on that one. the victor with the DYE barrel would be a pretty complete setup.

im a sucker for the grey bodies though (dont know why) so id probably wind up ditching the drop forward on the TL, and use the front block from the victor...

I had my eye on that TL as well. Good pickup.

Not bad at all, @glaman5266!

Spyders are fun... maybe not awe-inspiring, but fun... and they are open to a LOT of tinkering...

How long was that TL on there anyway? I've been looking at Spyders for a couple weeks and for some reason never saw that one 'til last night.
The Victor though, I was pondering that one for a while. I thought "Why would I pay that much for a Victor?" But then again, it's basically an Imagine without a front block. Not much difference. Imagines are like most other Spyders anyway and this one had the upgrades, so... Yeah.

Tarsun- Don't worry- I rebuild markers in my head too.

Short story- Years ago I had an Aggressor. One of those pink/purple/blue fade ones. Mint condition. Sold that and a purple JT IZE mask to a lady friend of my wife's. I was guessing she didn't play anymore (this was, like, 12-13 years ago) so I contacted her on FB to see if she had/was willing to sell it. No response. Anyway, that (& Riot's FBM, lol) got me looking on eBay. Kinda wish I didn't sell it. Beautiful marker.

I have a JT Excellerator 6.0 (first decent paintgun), but even that is getting to the point where I can't fix it. Unsuccessfully tried a LP mod, put it back to HP. Can't figure out a good spring combo for HPA, but works fine on co2... Front block threads need a retapping (leaks though the mounting screw unless I tape it, lol).

I know the feeling. Even though I probably wouldn't use it much, I've been on the lookout for an all original black TL+ in excellent condition (which is probably why I don't own one yet). It was the first marker I ever owned and I sold it twenty years ago to get my Autococker. If anything, I want one more for the nostalgia than anything.
