Yeah, you can generally say they're linked, but not in the same narrative. He does make reference to other stories in some of them.

"At the Mountains of Madness" is my favorite.

About my only issue is that if you read a lot of Lovecraft his stories can start to run together. That, and the flaming racism/xenophobia.

Also - "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath" is very odd.

Finally got around to reading The Shadow at Innsmouth. Though incredibly slow at first, holy crap it was good!! I'll read At the Mountains of Madness next, I think.

I didn't notice any racism/xenophobia in The Call of Cthulhu, but it was definitely prevalent in The Shadow at Innsmouth.
