Current Reads

Bucking the Tide by David Buckman. Who I found out just lives down the road from me near my place up north. Go figure.

Story of a man that bought a cheap fixer-upper sailboat and his adventures sailing it around the coast. Extremely well written. I'm no dummy but feel like I need a dictionary with me on this one half the time.

Currently my audio book I'm listening to is:

Blue Highways - by William Least Heat Moon
So far this has been a great listen! It's about a college professor (he's native american - hence the name) that was downsized and a wife that moved on, so he hopped in a camper van and decided to travel across the country without taking any highways. The in depth explanations of the places he visits and the people he meets are worth every moment.

The Beast Regiment by Sven Hassel
I read this many years ago and I'm enjoying this work of fiction again.

Also just finished The Alexander Cypher by Will Adams

currently reading for the second time the Riverworld series by Philip Josť Farmer

I insisted my son read it, and realized it had be 25 years since I had, so in order to promote conversation, I am reading it again.
