Milsig Drum Mag has been released

I just bought 2. Hopefully they are as awesome as they look!

I hope there's some left for me on Sunday because I'll definitely take a few. Definitely an exciting time for mag fed. Unfortunately their price is pretty high, I would value them more around $60 and that's not unfeasible for Milsig with the low costs of plastic and injection molding.

A continous 32 round mag will help my play style tremendously. Currently I can't ambush more than 2-3 people since I have to reload after 10 shots. With this drum mag I should be able to not only ambush better but also be able to push if I had too. I just hope it feeds first strikes fine since that's what I normally use.

For me it's simply mean I can leave my Molle belt in my gearbag and run around rec ball games wearing nothing (at least Molle rig & pouch related, I'm not a streaker lol). For big games I'll be breaking out the SSR so they won't be much help, if they were skinnier I could've made a feedback for them but they're too thick to fit in front of the reg.

Get typhon to make an adapter lol! I'd use my SSR with one hahahaha.

I can make the adapter myself but the drum looks to be about 2" deep which is twice the size of an SSR mag. It simply won't fit adapter or not. I'm drawing up drum mag plans for my SSPAR though and soon enough I'll have a CNC mill to make it. If I get impatient I can always send it to shapeways to be printed in aluminum.

On second thought if I made the feedneck long enough I could drop the drum so it hangs below the reg assembly and I wouldn't have any issues then. It'd be a pretty goofy looking and probably uncomfortable solution though.

Do they qualify as a magfed magazine?

I am considering making a SMALL electronic or possibly a mechanical magazine from Dye mags, that is 25 to 50 rounds, which is why I ask. As much as I love mag fed, only having 10 rounds before having to swap around a mag will be a pain.
