Fairly sure the reviewer in the Badlands video said the stock and tube were removable.

ya shame he didn't take it apart. I missed the removable part for the buffer tube.... everyone keeps saying it's similar to an a5. so is it an a5 internals or did something change.

at 1.47 you can see the halves connected the buffer tube may be a part of the "cast"looks like the sling lugs are permenant the busser tube looks solid. He may be refering to the adjustable stock part is removable and can be replaced with another standard adjustable stock.I'd hack it off if possible !!!

Is it just me or does it look like plain plastic and not a polymer? I don't like the mag grip on the end, it may be a real thing but it turns me off.

I am happy though that it looks like a solid budget option.

98 threads is a huge bummer. Aside from. That one picture of the barrel shown in the video, I thought it said on pbn it was a5?

I would like to know gi's thinking on that, a5 seems to be the growing standard for mag fed. Even MCS has somewhat gotten on that bandwagon, and our own CCM as well if I'm not mistaken.

A-5 threads are indeed one of the leading barrel threads for magazine-fed markers, with Milsig and Maxtact both using it. Tippmann's TiPX and TCR of course use it, and all of the higher-end MCS/RAP4 markers are threaded for A-5 (only that remain 98 threaded are Blizzard and Storm, and the 468's 468A1 upper is A-5 now instead of Spyder). CCM's using a swappable breech for either Cocker or Hammerhead.

I was almost certain bill made some a5 breeches for those who wanted them, but it's been a long time since I've read in the ssr thread so I may be wrong.

Another video dropped a few days ago from Defcon:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWDdRbUJse4

Nothing is revealed that is really new, but the video is 4K and crisp if you're a nerd like me and want to pause and inspect.

Is that you in the video?

The reviews of this prototype are really limited so far. Would love to see it being opened up, the mags opened up etc. What can be done with the Front guard etc.

No mention on the clamshell design either....

I realize this is a budget marker, I completely get it, just want to know more.
