New to magfed

Howdy everyone,

Just picked up a TCR and I'm going to start messing around with it. I'm not new to paintball, but I'm entirely new to magfed (save a hammer 7, if you want to count that). I play 99% pump these days, what should I expect? Never played with FSR, never played with a magfed in game. I'm used to limited paint, stock class and such, so I don't plan on getting a huge amount of mags, but I know how much one's opinion can change after using new equipment. Any thoughts or tips are appreciated.

Thanks all,
Jonny

Check out Magfed society on facebook btw. Games all throughout the year in North East https://www.facebook.com/magfedsociety

If using a TCR, you can't go wrong with something from Blue Force for a chest rig, or WTF. They both do awesome chest rigs for Tippmann mags.

Embrace the suck dude!

I am on my 4th or 5th magfed marker now.... nothing ever works the way it is advertised, or even supposed to. They are horribly inefficient, un-ergonomic, hard on paint, hard on fingers, hard on wallets... heavy, bulky and loud.

But fun as hell.

The worst is trying to find a way to carry mags.

LMAO... I have heard it said 'When TF'. I 'think' they are getting themselves together now though and have been investing in a lot of machinery and fabrics. I honestly think it is a case of they got popular real quick and can't keep up with demand, and have been trying to move into new premises.

Hopefully they will get the delays turned around, because they really do make some good kit.

Sometimes it feels like having to relearn all this stuff again lol. I love it though. So far it has taken me about a year to start narrowing down what I like though, I suppose that in itself is some of the fun

At this juncture I'm only planning to dabble a bit, but that's what I said about pump and here we are...

Since you play pump, really the only thing that changes is that you feed up, and the tubes are replaced by heavier magazines.

Finally got a chance to fiddle with the TCR, I can already see the appeal.

There is an occasionally issue if you do the shell together too tight it won't work. But that's the only real thing I've heard of with the TCR apart from the
normal TPX/TiPX issues.
