MCE Digital Armory - A Mag retention system of note

Check theses out.

I spoke to the company to see if they could make them for paintball. They were open to the idea and decided to start with TiPX mags.

I'm now testing them. So far so good!

https://mce-digital-armory.myshopify.com

Edit: got a chance to play with these! I stitched together the four molle pouches with the four belt mounted pouches and got eight in a row. Very solid. Super easy!

Mag retention was great, pulling mags was easy. Replacement of mags was a bit more of a challenge... but still not to bad when no one was shooting at me!

A lot of people were interested. Many wondered if they would work inverted, I haven't tried.

Either way, these are very cool mag pouches! highly recommended

Here is my set up

Response from MCE

The answer to the “inverted” question is YES if they tighten the retention sufficiently (we have some Law Enforcement and Border Patrol customers who do this on their vests with our AR popuches). We’ve also been looking at other colors as well with OD Green and Light Desert Tan (picture attached).

Do let some other players try them and I think we’re going to release them “AS IS" very soon on eBay and Amazon. I’ll send you a link when we get them up……..

Kind Regards,

looks interesting! $65 for a 6-mag version is not bad. i dont know anything about "real" mag sizes, but it looks like they have a lot of different sizes available, from pretty thin to "looks like maybe a TPX mag would fit?".

I reached out to the company to see if they could be convinced to try their hands at paintball mags

They have purchased tpx mags and are going to explore how that would work.

They are also interested in doing one for a rifle mag. I suggested the helix mags.

Will update with further news.

I also pointed them here, so the more noise we make about wanting their product the better!

That's very cool - the product and their willingness to explore the paintball market!

Thatís pretty cool, and kind of good timing too. The more I mess with my tipx the more I like the 7 round mags over zeta and this seems like it would work really well.

How many do you or would you carry? Iím thinking 8+1 could get me through 3 games max on average before I head back to staging, if it was something like a big game Iíd keep tubes on me so I could fall back or hide and reload.

yeah after messing with zetas and the 12 rounders, i always find myself missing the good old easy-to-carry and problem-free 7-rounders. back before zeta's i carried 8 total on a chest rig.

Well at 250 I can get 4 mags 28 shots per 12 gram and I usually carry 6 ten rounds to replace the paint so maybe 8 plus one? I’m running 2 sevens and four 12 rounders and I can’t wait to switch to straight 7 rounders.

Just realized that in the quote you also use 8+1 heh
