Just wondering what was the difference between dye dam mags versus rap4 dmags?

Quality capacity and feed
Dye mags are 2 sided one stack on each the rap 4 are just one stack.
Rap4 Mags are as cheap as they get easily broken but cheap enough to the point where it’s like meh.
Have only shot from the rap4 mags they feed fine. Not great with fsr tho
Oh and Definetly not interchangeable. I think

DAM MAGS:

Feed from the back, so can have a slightly more compact design of marker (more barrel length to body ratio). Have sliding doors that keep moisture/dirt/paint out. Locks the follower in place until the door is entirely out the way (so paint is not under tension. Does allow paint to move around and rattle when you run though.

Normal Mag: 10 balls X 2 stacks.
Short Mag: 6 balls x 2 stacks. (Although advertised as 5 x 2)

DMAG:

Feed from the front, No covers to keep moisture etc out. (I don't have experience of them personally)

DAM Mags are by no means perfect, but from a reliability stand point, they are pretty darn good.

actually the dmags are straight feed
10+10 or 7+7
feed great for round ball but a pain in the *** to load with first strike

helix are 20 continuous feed. easily loaded with round or fs
just keep them clean of you are shooting fs

Glad you chimed in with info on DMAGS... I wasn't prepared to give full details because I haven't actually used them.

Dye dam mags are easy on paint and dual sided. Dmags are also dual sided but helix mags are continuous 20 round feed and I use them exclusively. They are easy enough to rebuild and work great. Also no 10 + 10 to have to worry about. I use TiPX mags for my pistol and carbine and Dmags and Helix Dmags for everything else.

They have updated internals for the helix, supposed to take away the need to smack them in. I have a brand new Hurricane with brand new updated mags and i still found the need to smack them in. Heck I forgot to smack one in and the spring force on the follower mech pushed the mag out of the magwell on me!
