M17 Lok Bolt... exists... Sort of

Anyone interested in a 3d printable Lok bolt for a Milsig M17 and like?

Bolt on??

Something I have been working on. Nearly perfected...

The bold doesn't have enough time to accelerate. The lock catches it, and is braced against the marker it's self.

I am tweaking it right now.

Don't have consistency yet.

I'm also curious how this is going. I think this is the Thingiverse page for it, but still says coming soon. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3415654

Looking into this a bit more, it sounds like Milsig was making a play for these. Beyond that, I'm not sure what the holdup is. Patent maybe?

Well well this is interesting looks like they're for sale. There's a post in the Missing Owners group on Facebook discussing them.

I bought one, but apparently you need the BRH to rest the bolt after it prevents a jam, or a way to disconnect the air source temporarily like a slide check.

Some people are worried about bent guide pins, but that could be user error from the BRH.

It sounds very promising. Based on my experience with 3D printing, I'm not surprised that it eventually wore out for him. Then again, 3D printing isn't exactly machining or even injection molding. No matter how well your print settings are dialed in, a 3D printed part will eventually break under stress. Personally, I'm really looking forward to the day when he releases the STL files. This way I can print plenty of spares for when they do break. Either that, or if Milsig gets involved, I'd love to see a production quality model released.
