Personally for the quantity of rounds, the potential need for "shaking" and the fact it uses batteries and is still only good for .68 I would rather go with one of these ...

TL;DR hole size controls how fast balls get spent

how many rounds do they hold? I wouldn't mind using them for rec play on my pistol.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around why one would design and manufacture an electric loader that needs shaking.

round count was 60 for the small 120 for the large - the large when i last checked required a second turn of the trommel to empty the whole thing but I believe he was trying to source a different spring to "fix" that. Also not sure I would want the bulk or the weight of the 120 on the bottom of a TiPX ... https://gotcha3d.de/p/g3d-trommelmag...pter-schwarz-1

Supposedly this was a combination of KT wanting to lower expectations of how well it worked and it actually needing the occasional helping "bump 'n shake" - someone said it was only occasionally that it needed a helping hand to work ... really hope they decide to just try and fix this before actually releasing a partially working product. Most players can forgive a "delay to get it working right" no one forgets crap released when it just plain doesn't work well ... and here I thought they were heading in a better direction but still just re-selling overpriced cr4p I guess ...

Before this thread completely dies, I'll throw my 2 cents in.

I caved and bought a MCS box mag. Price is way too high for what it is, I would expect to see the price go down when they realize people aren't buying them as quickly as they thought. As people have mentioned, the box itself has space around the loader part. it'll fill with paintballs but then it'll funnel paint into the loading auger and you won't be shaking it until you're nearly out.

That being said, you do realize it's just a rip clip with a two piece magazine adapter, right? Literally, an un-branded rip clip sits inside that box nearly free floating. Since I have bought it, I haven't used the actual box part after the first rounds i shot through my marker. A low profile A5/X7 hopper easily fits on and, you guessed it, completely eliminates any shaking of the loader for it to feed all of the paint. There will still be some in the stack once you run out, but for real? Just use a cyclone feed loader! It won't look milsim, but it'll function perfect.

I run a Hurricane with lok-bolt, I haven't had a single breach break. The loader keeps up, and works perfect with a cyclone hopper attached of course. The box part is honestly useless when compared to a hopper. I will say, I am trying other hoppers to see which one fits the best. The low profile fits easily, with some extra space. It sits lower than my top rail by over an inch, so I'm going to try an old school A5 hopper next. (luckily those are dirt cheap on ebay) I tried my valken Vmax cyclone loader, but it's too wide to work with the box mag. That's fine, it works best on my A5. Tac caps also work absolutely perfect, just much less capacity.

So my take is the box mag is expensive, but works fantastic! So long as you have some form of anti-chop and don't mind ditching the box part for a functional cyclone hopper. I'm only planning to use it in scenario games where I'll run remote air and have pods. I will however carry either one first strike DMAG Helix or a standard 14 round DMAG so I can pop out the box mag and throw in the sniper rounds for some tricky enemies. it's very easy to switch back and to round ball and shaped projectiles.

Again, I wouldn't dare use this in a mag feed only game, if they even allowed it. It does shine for rec play and scenario games where you want to lay down the fire but have the option to snipe. I run the hurricane with e-grip, and i have auto response as my setting. No broken paint even shooting in that mode.
