Yeah I’m looking across a number of platforms. I may just end up running helix mags and say screw it. The Dmags are breaking fins on my FSR leading to chamber and barrel breaks.

I played with first strikes in helix mags in a games last year. No feeding issues using the first strike springs. I'm waiting for Ray at magfedmaker to finish his FS V2 magwell for the Hurricane, I like the mag design and build better than the helix.

Absolutely suggest staying away from DMAGS if at all possible - they are "passable" for .68 and garbage IMO for FSr. Helix are ok and are a much better substitute if sticking with the MCS magwell.

I haven't had many issues with the FSv1 mags myself it had more to do with the marker and T15 barrel not staying put than the mag itself for me at least...the v2 I haven't heard anyone say they are FAR above superior to feel the need to replace all mine.

TL;DR hole size controls how fast balls get spent

Ok so I thought of something else..

What about using gmags on a t68? It has the original Magwell for roundhead mags

I'm running the 1st gen T15 mags with my Hurricane. Works really nicely.
I also extended the followers so they feed fully, and depending on how good a job I did with the follower also stop the bolt so tells me when I'm out.

A little tricky to notch the mags and they don't drop out but reliability is what I was after.

the Helix mags for me constantly shifted in the magwell jamming the mag.

Where / how did you mod it to use T15 mags?

Replace the magwell, magfedmaker has one for original T15 mags. He's working on one for the V2 mags.

^ yup that.

The 1st gen magwell at least I believe is intended to be used with the lok-bolt. the last round will sit in the magwell because the follower isn't tall enough on the mag. They can flip sometimes. He recommends a paintball as the last round so there are no flips.

Reason why I extended the followers.

I actually prefer the 1st gen mags. Smaller and leaner.
