Can someone school me on MOLLE?

Hey guys,

So this is slightly embarrassing, but I am not quite sure how to properly use MOLLE straps.

I wear a kilt when I play that has MOLLE straps. Most of the time when I'm using pouches, etc they have clips that I can feed through the MOLLE straps and secure that way. How do I go about attaching MOLLE to MOLLE? I'm assuming I need some sort of clips and I ordered some, but I can't quite figure out how to rig them up. Do I need a different kind of clip?

I'm new to magfed, but I figured this would be a good place to ask since you guys tend to utilize MOLLE more than other paintball sub groups.

Thanks!

Jonny

Most MOLLE pouches will have the straps sewn into the back. You just thread those through the vests Molle webbing. Think like a lace pie and you’ve basically got it.

the ones you bought just clip to the webbing. you are looking for speed/malice clips. there are button straps too. Look for Blackhawk or Condor. the length is important to pay attention to.

The short version is thread them through both the belt and the molle piece itself to keep it secure. There are some MOLLE attachments that are better made than others.

I've only used malice clips or the sewn on straps Condor has on their gear. You just weave them through the belt and attachment straps.

See the bottom figure:

I mispronounced it like that for years. The guy who corrected me was kind enough to only laugh a little.

That's what I thought, but my pack and my kilt just have the molle webbing with no clips or openings.

Okay this is what I was wondering, seems like the length of the clips I have is a bit too short anyways. Thanks.

There are good YouTube tutorials on weaving molle straps.
