I've been all over the place lately. Out of town pretty much every weekend.

Carryover was something I was really concerned could potentially happen, which is why I ignored their recommended oil in favor of one meant for high pressure compressors which has properties specifically targeted at preventing potential detonation.

No real advice at the moment on avoiding the carryover, but food for thought on at least allowing it to be safer.

One of these (220v) came up locally for fairly cheap, says only used once. Guy is liquidating a bunch of pcp equipment. Thinking of picking it up, any last thoughts anyone? Man that Royal Purple oil is expensive in Canada... :P

Here's a little update on the review for those that are looking: https://wp.me/paF2hJ-E6

I got the top end version with the auto shutdown and also tried out the cheapest version. The cheapest version was basically me lighting money on fire. The high end (kinda?) version is $50 more, but a LOT nicer. Also, I'm pretty much to the point that the water/oil separator is a must.

Thanks CFOS for the update. I've made the decision to get one (and a gold filter), I was just uncertain which model to get. I believe I'll go with the auto shut version. Now to wait for ebay to have a discount day.

What is that huge water/oil separator you've got on there? Have a link?
Also, what consumables should I look at stocking up on right off the bat (filters, burst discs, etc)?

Thanks for the great review!

Extra filters are a good idea. Here's what I got for an oil/water separator. I would look for something similar. https://www.ebay.com/itm/PCP-air-com...OwNSt2tKy59cOg

You may be able to get it cheaper, but this is what I use.

Can you rebuild that? Or does it just get replaced from time to time?
