APP "scenario" pods...anyone use them?

Went to APP's site to get some elbows and check out what's new and noticed these:

Looks like the 50-round loader is back! I have a vest that I should get some of these for. I've got some other APP tubes and have found them to be some of the best as far as durability and ease of use. They have a nice, big tab that won't slice your thumb when you need to open them up quick and are good, heavyweight plastic that'll take more than a few direct hits without splitting or cracking. Hopefully these are built as well as their other tubes. They're a bit pricey now at $4.95 each, but will probably outlast most other pods.

Chad I think these are going to be too fat for your vest... but I could be wrong.

I miss the Indian Springs pods, which these remind me of..those things were indestructible!

You can cut most pods down...ive never done it myself but I just figured thats what most folks do.

I havent been over to APP in a while.

I think they'll fit the vest I have just fine...regular 100 round APP tubes fit really well width-wise, but are a bit too long to be worn comfortably. However, I won't know for sure until Spring since I left the vest in the bunkhouse. :(

Anyway, I didn't buy any of these yet, but I did get a year's supply of Atomic Elbows (I never break 'em...just lose 'em or loan 'em and never get 'em back) and a few other odds & ends I needed.

Opsgear carries these as well (exactly the same), they (50 rounders) fit alright inside the 100 round pod pouches on my Idema Vest.

APP was manufacturing those for Special Ops last year. I'm not surprised that APP is now carrying them themselves, they always have them when they show up at Castle.

I've never used them, I prefer regular 140 round pods for scenarios.

Yeah, for scenarios like Castle, 140s are the rule, but for rec play, when there's a bit more time to reload, and reloading more often isn't a problem, these little guys would be great. Kind of a step between cigar tubes & the rest of the world...

Wycke - I use the 50s for pump play and on my A5 with tac Cap and really enjoy and prefer these. It takes a little getting used to but, I think you'll be happy with them if you pick some up.

I use them, always enjoy buying things from APP, such a good group of people at that company

Chad, did you buy any of these for, ahhh, scenario play?
