I'm partial to Rush's La Villa Strangiato, it's basically Alex Lifeson jamming.

To me, the best solo is the second solo at the end of Revocation's Witch Trials

Other favorites include:
Periphery's Luck as a Constant
Sikth's In This Light

Yea I’m not a guitar expert at all but a huge fan of Kirk Hammett and his guitar riffs. So consider my opinion just a cool solo to listen to.

Marty Friedman - Tornado of Souls

I'm not sure anyone solo is the "greatest", but this is my favorite solo. Marty's melodic navigation of the fretboard is something I aspire to. His technique is well, technical. Though he does have and unique way of playing with his right hand. Compound bends, arpeggios, legato... I need to go practice

Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb This one due to David Gilmour's style and overall length gets some improvisational translation for each performance. This is my #2 favorite. Completely different feel than Marty, but super powerful.
