This may sound like sacrilege, and I in no way endorse this over mags or phantoms, but I've always thought that the Spyder Hammer was a neat little gun. Super customizable, mag and hopper feed options, first strike round ready, and it sure wont break the bank.

Iv owned a ton of markers in every style of play, with my automag you will bury me with that thing and would fight off a dragon for it if I had to, easy to maintain and built like a tank, as far as my cocker pump iv had my fill with anything wgp or cocker related it just to much of a headache, im getting rid of it in favor of a phantom or something similar, hell id take a empire trracer over my cocker pump, iv tinkered enough I guess is what im trying to say, I just wanna air up and go play instead of having to mess with a marker to get it to shoot right

#3 - What kind of upkeep do mags have excluding regular oil seals etc?

#4 - I know mags have valve levels, what are the benefits and what is the best budget valve to have?

Thanks man.
I use gravity feed hoppers and love them, I hate batteries dying mid game, unless its a 12v revvy

HPA is better in every aspect and most fields dont even fill co2 anymore, plus it saves you money later down the road

None as long as its shooting little agglets, their tanks man

As far as mag valves the classic is the cheapest and thats really all you need, the RT valves, xvalves, ect will run you anywhere from about $150/$200 just for a valve, this is what iv seen in the bst so dony quote me on that

My Tac one has been running strong for 3.5 years on just a few drops of oil annually. I just upgraded to an X valve but haven't used it in play yet so I can't say how much of an improvement it is quite yet, but I'm excited! You honestly can't go wrong with a classic valve though. If you are worried about chops then You can upgrade to a level 10 bolt but you lose some efficiency.

They truly are tanks!

I understand your plight, but these are actually very simple, reliable guns. My parts box sniper has been pretty rock solid reliable since I put it together back in '09 or so., Just had to replace the reg piston o-ring once when the reg started creeping.
Most Sniper/pump-cocker(it really hurts me to type that) shooters consider them to be simple to maintain and reliable.

Glad I'm not the only one annoyed with everyone saying they have a pump autococker.

Ok so this is what I've come down too. I'm either going to get a cocker so I can change between pump and semi play, a mag with a classic valve or a phantom...I'm so caught. I feel like the cocker is going to give me the most versatility but I don't know if I feel like dealing with the upkeep. The mag would be something completely new and intriguing. The Phantom is old reliable and I know I love the feel. Damn it, why is this so hard.

Id get the mag man, timing a cocker can be a pain, once there set there shoot great, just think everytime you wanna play semi youll have to time it, and then pick up a phantom, bam problem solved

I agree, having a cocker with both pneumatics and a pump kit is not the best solution to having a pump and a semi. Too much time and effort to switch .
