Looking for a specific style of pump, but don't know who makes it...

Hi guys, excuse my ignorance please, but I am looking to get a pump similar in style to the Hammer 7 where the air is up high behind the barrel. I guess I haven't looked enough, but everything I'm seeing has the air at the bottom of the grip. I like the H7 for First Strike magfed play, but I know there has to be MUCH better available for roundball play. Something that likes CO2 is preferred since I have an ICD lever changer stock I'd like to use. Target budget would be about $500 in the used market. Doesn't have to be in production if it's reliable and still serviceable.

Thanks,
/z

Look for a back bottle phantom. You'll find one well under that price range and have s lot of configurations.

Alot of older Nelson based pump gun are like this, just take your time and look around, but a phantom is an excellent choice and will save headaches down the road

And can be had WELL under your $500 budget, even new. Plus, you will not find better customer service than Mike at CCI.

Automag pump Backbottle. Sterling backbottles also fit the bill. (both of these have a very light stroke)
Phantom should be least expensive but I am not a fan Most Nelson markers the pumpstroke is too similar.

I was gonna say Sterling back bottle as well, but Tinman beat me to it! Some old Sheridan's had back bottle setup, and there's no better feeling then getting an elimation using vintage brass.

CCI Phantom with a back bottle Valve body.

It works so much better then the Hammer 7 and is super efficient on 12g. You will get x2 the shots out of a 12g with the phantom compared to the Hammer 7. They are very reliable and inexpensive.

Upgrade suggestions: get a CCI barrel that excepts Freak incerts. ASP detents are nice as well.

I have both a Phantom and a Sterling. I love the versatility of the Phantom but the pump stroke on the Sterling is buttery smooth. I say get both.
