A cautionary tale about most spoolies
The reg adjustments required to fire 285- 300 fps can exceed the pressure limits of the solenoid
If you here the noid venting back it off and adjust the dwell higher.
The market has done away with pressure gauges on most markers for cosmetic reasons ,a poor decision IMHO and a personal pet peeve
I recommend getting some type of bore system like a Freak, etc
And the detents on Proto/Dye guns are pretty piss poor

What would be the tell tale sign of the solenoid venting? Is it a constant leak, a sound when firing?

Also thought I would mention, too much lube on some spoolies can also cause FSDO. It is all a balancing act

Venting would be a constant leak, as was mentioned just back the pressure down.

I wonder if there is a way to safely and reliably increase contact area of the detents on the Rize. I know they are built into the eye pipe, maybe something like a small washer behind them? Never messed with the new eye pipes, so I don't know how much flex the detents have.

As said a constant leak,it will be just above the trigger

I've had several variants of the PMR,the only long term solution was to use the TechT bolt to lower the OP

I haven't seen the new Rize in person.
I'll assume by the pics& reviews it's very similar to the 2011&newer Rail with a slightly improved / redesigned pancake noid
I added a GoG(not Ion) QEV on my 2011 Rail and it lowered the OP and improved dropoff significantly. It took some minor modding of the frame and some extra Ion hose I had. It may be something to consider if you have some modding skills
Iirc it was mentioned online the Rize noid is a direct drop in replacement/improvement for the 2011+PMR (not Reflex )

Thanks, Punisher. I'll have to listen for that, and maybe turn my speed down just a bit to be safe.
