I wouldn't touch DP with a ten foot pole...

There's a double entendre in there somewhere

i would avoid DP as well, they have gotten way better over the years, but i always kinda regard them as Chinese knock offs

as far as the LV1 over an Etek 5, there are enough differences between the two to justify the price difference.. its not huge, but its enough little incremental changes to make a lot of difference as a whole..

the biggest issue with buying new is depreciation.. your going to go buy a new Etek 5 for $500 and in a few years it will be worth $250 whereas a $600 LV1, will be worth about 450-500 in a few years, as the price has already halved when you got it

Bob long is hands down the quitest, smoothest poppet around. There is no contest really. Get a g6r, or even a vic with sc or vis engine. My favorite is the Vice but i digress.

cannot hate on the G6r,personally im not a fan of how it feels in the hand, but at the same time, a TON of people shooting them for years now cant be wrong either.. and you can get the non OLED 2k11 versions for next to nothing on the used market (like 275-350) so its definitely a hell of a value for the price

I'd add to the Etek 5 chorus.

Superb marker, and very much underrated. For my part, I find it more comfy to hold and shoot than the LV1, though the shot quality is not quite as good, though it's miles better than any Planet poppet other than the LV1 or (maybe) a darted 11.

G6R is superb in every respect, and has the best trigger of any marker here listed, as well as the highest potential efficiency. However, it is nowhere near as comfy as the Planet options. That integrated LPR with the rubber is genius and just great to hold, especially in cold weather.

The Etek will be the most robust of any of these, all things considered.

Having shot all of them, the Etek is what I ended up with, and I've been pleased as punch ever since. Axe was my favorite up until then, and I ended up selling it because it never really got much use after the Etek showed up.

Buy a used LV1. They go for $500 all day long. I have a few of them.

I picked up a Cyborg RX with a bunch of upgrades on it for 350 a while back, and I've seen them lower than that regularly. Other than maybe an 09 Impulse, the RX is my favorite stacked tube poppet that I've ever used. It is excellent in every way.

I liked everything about the Etek 5 better then my impulse and it was more reliable.

I just sold my LV1 for 450 I would deff look for one of those instead of used is okay.

Sweet super low prices on lv1 are awesome.

I think it's because the etek5 is the "best" cheap range gun while the lv1 is only an amazing "slightly older now" high end..
