sorry I should have explained, I am in day two of owning a paintball gun, which happens to be the hand me down sheridan, Sorry to beat a dead horse.

No probs, peach. Everyone starts there. I'm sure it'll be good enough for ya to get started. Just keep it clean and oiled and then you can figure out if you'd rather ditch paintball or get yourself something a bit nicer.

Im having trouble with the sheridan, there is a little rubber insert that looks as if its supposed catch the ball,(until you guys tell me what its real name is well go with ball stopper) the stopper is pretty well worn down, does anybody know where I can get a new one? Thanks for your time.

Is it letting 2 balls into the breech? That's called a ball detent.

I'm sure someone here can let you know what to replace it with, I wouldn't have any idea. They're usually a couple bucks.

two or more, if I hold the muzzle down and shack the gun I could empty the hopper. A ball detent you say? Ya if anybody knows where I can pick one up I would be forever greatfull!

They use Tippmann detents.
