I have to say that is a really neat and innovative idea. When we used to do a team practice indoor during the winter, we played at a reball indoor. Those needed to always be turned down to ~ 180 or 200, been a while and I forget the actual number, but I remember the guns not wanting to go that low. We got them there, but what a pain to do so.

Now you can have a low impact playing style without having to change out all your gear (new equipment), change paintballs, etc, etc.

Very innovative. Wish the video showed it working

Seems like this would create a lot of bounces.

Neat idea. Not sure if it will take off or be well received, but it's a unique approach to the problem.

In the back of my mind I see problems (see the chrono with FSR vs paintball debacle) but that shouldn't be a problem if you're dealing with people with a basic level of intelligence.

The thinking behind this is interesting, but the problem remains is that the field paint most fields use is simply not going to break on someone when shot at 180fps. Its just going to bounce all day, until they finally get hit in the gun or mask. Is it really better to take 5 shots at 180fps or one at 270-300?

Not bounces.

I do believe that some places that do low velocity games play with bounces counting as hits.

Other variations where bounces count, at least locally, are night games (can't see to check for breaks), and on anyone who wants to wear a ghillie suit.

Well if you range is half as good I imagine it might actually be better accuracy.... For the things it can reach

i love idea of this. but we have this issue to take look at. what if someone get gun check when come on field with this barrel and get down to right FPS and then come back with another barrel or changes barrel in middle of game to make go faster again. so he will be shooting hot when not too. how is ref going to recall when person changes barrel. since will not recall if same barrel or not. now he can shoot faster then what should be. i like idea great thing to have. but making sure person does not change anything to gun going to be hard unless field checks everyone gun before each game.

It's easier to just turn up the velocity with an allen key than to carry a second barrel
